How do I find my well's drilling record?
Start with your state: most states required the driller to file a completion report listing total depth, casing diameter, and the static water level, and most keep those records searchable online. If the state search comes up empty, check your home closing papers, ask the previous owner or the local well drillers, and check with your county health department.
Older wells are the usual gap: filing requirements arrived at different times in different states, so a 1960s well may simply have no record anywhere.
